Why subscription

Stay because it’s working. Not because you’re locked in.

A subscription means we have to earn next month every month. That’s the deal, and it’s why the cadence stays honest: weeks, not quarters.

  1. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime.

No annual contracts. No statements of work. No “minimum engagement” lawyers. If we stop earning our keep, you stop paying.

  2. Pause when you’re quiet.

Slow month? Pause your subscription and pick up where you left off. Your queue stays intact.

  3. Senior engineers only.

The people writing your code have been shipping software that real businesses run on for a decade. Your build gets that experience from the first line of code.

  4. You own everything.

The code and the data are yours from day one. We host and run it by default — or in your cloud if you prefer — and if you walk away, we hand everything over: the source code, your data, and the guide to run it.

  5. Weekly ship cadence.

Working software in your hands every week. Not 12-week deliverables that drift before they land.

Custom software used to mean six-figure quotes and twelve-month timelines. It doesn’t anymore.

The buildeo bet. The reason the subscription model works.

What it costs

The money, plainly.

No hourly billing. No surprise invoices. Three plain numbers, and one of them is zero.

Build

from $2,200/month

One flat monthly subscription while we build — one thing at a time; most builds run $2,200–4,500/month. Month-to-month, pause or cancel anytime; one-off features get a fixed price upfront, quoted the same day.

Care

from $400/month

When the build wraps, the subscription drops to care: hosting, security, backups, bug fixes, and small tweaks — typically $400–900/month, sized to your system.

Frequently asked

Questions, before the audit.

What does “one thing at a time” actually mean?

You queue as many requests as you want. We work on one active build until it ships, then move to the next. Big builds get broken into shippable slices, so you see progress every week instead of waiting for a quarter-long deliverable.

How fast is “weeks, not quarters”?

Most internal tools and integrations ship within one to three weeks of kickoff. Complex builds (software that connects several systems, AI workflows, full operational apps) are split into weekly increments so something is in your hands every week.

Who actually writes the code?

Senior product engineers who’ve shipped software for real businesses for a decade or more. No outsourcing, no rotating contractors. The person writing your code is the person you talk to.

Who’s behind buildeo?

Diego Rios — a senior product engineer based in Lima, Perú (UTC−5). buildeo is deliberately small: the person you talk to on WhatsApp is the person who writes your code. Hours are 9–6, Monday to Friday, and they flex to your time zone.

What technology do you build on?

Whatever the job calls for. Defaults are TypeScript, Python, and Postgres on cloud infrastructure we manage for you (Vercel, Supabase, AWS, GCP) — or deployed into your own cloud if you prefer. If those names mean nothing to you, that’s fine: they’re our job, not yours. And if you have systems we need to live inside, we live inside them.

What if I want to stop?

Cancel any month. The code and data are yours, so you leave with everything — the source code, your data, and a guide your team or your next provider can follow. No exit clauses, no buy-out, no hostage code.

Do I need an engineering team to work with buildeo?

No — that’s the point. buildeo is engineering capacity for companies that don’t have it: operations- and finance-led teams running on spreadsheets and manual work. If you already have engineers, we build alongside them; we’re not here to replace anyone.

How much of my time does a build take?

It depends on the build, but less than you’d fear — and mostly at the start: a few WhatsApp messages showing how you do things today. After that, quick confirmations as pieces ship each week. No workshops, no long meetings; it all runs in the same chat.

What happens in the free audit?

You message us on WhatsApp with whatever your team is patching together — spreadsheets, screenshots, a description of the manual work. We look at your workflows and come back with what we’d automate first, a sketch of the first build, and a starting subscription quote. It’s genuinely free, and there’s no obligation to build anything with us.

How does pricing work?

It starts free, with the audit. Ongoing work runs on one flat monthly subscription — from $2,200, with most builds landing between $2,200 and $4,500 a month — month-to-month, pause or cancel anytime, no annual contracts. One-off features get a fixed price upfront, quoted the same day, before we build. And when a build wraps, the subscription drops to a care plan — typically $400–900/month, sized to your system — for hosting, security, backups, bug fixes, and small tweaks.

How does payment work?

In US dollars, plus applicable taxes — by bank transfer, or USDC if you prefer. If you need a specific billing setup on your side, tell us in the audit chat and we’ll sort it out before you pay anything.
